The Sterile Processing Technician has working knowledge of the following: decontamination, sterilization, instrument assembly, packaging and biologic monitoring of instrumentation, linen, case cart assembly and specialty cart assembly and have the ability to read and document biological tests to ensure the functionality of sterilization equipment.
The Sterile Processing Technician has the ability to identify and assemble surgical instrumentation trays and ensure functionality, cleanliness and completeness of trays. They must be able to prioritize work according to surgical schedules and case cart pick lists
and have some knowledge of storeroom supplies and distribution services. The ability to multi-task and work during stressful situations is an essential job function. The Sterile Processing Technician must have excellent customer service skills and maintain knowledge of the AAMI, NJDOH and Central Sterile Processing regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the Sterile Processing area.
Full Time Positions
Evening Shift ( 3:00 pm--11:00 pm)
Monday thru Friday //Oncall every other weekend
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Must be certified by a nationally recognized organization (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) with at least 2 years related experience
