Transport patents in a safe manner, with their medical record, equipment or devices as needed, to and from the Rehabilitation Services Department, and within the department, to each service area. Transfer or assist to transfer patients to wheelchair or stretcher maintaining weight bearing status and/or other patient safety precautions. Assist patients in preparation for and during treatment sessions under the direct supervision of a licensed, certified or registered therapist in all service areas. Clean, disinfect and prepare whirlpools for and after treatment. Maintain patient safety in the hydrotherapy area, prepare patient and assist therapist with treatment. Maintain the general cleanliness of all rehabilitation equipment, storage areas and designated environmental surfaces. Complete environmental testing and logs per policy or standards. Inventory medical/surgical supplies per established schedules. Stock/shelve supplies and linen in designated storage treatment areas. Perform a variety of clerical duties related to patient care and department administration.
High school diploma required. Must demonstrate English fluency and possess good written and oral communication skills. Previous experience working with patients in a health care setting is preferred. Basic math and typing required. Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval required.
