Job Summary

Plans, directs and carries out all phases of UR/Case Management Department at RWJUHR. Oversees all departmental functions including assuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, financial and administrative operations, and quality management. Designs, develops and implements UR/Case Management policies and procedures in alignment with RWJUHR Pillar Goals. Evaluates personnel according to HR policies using established departmental performance standards to promote competency and growth within the department. Assures that departmental processes are managed according to CMS guidelines as well as TJC and all other regulatory bodies. Abides by the hospital quality management plan and participates in RWJUHR quality processes, including the HQSI committee, Nurse Managers, Emergency Management, Growth Council, Reducing Readmissions Initiative, Operations, Crimson Committee, Code Blue Committee, RAC Defense Team, and the Eclypsis Development Super User group, Code Changing group, Patient Satisfaction, and SIS Reconsideration group.

Requirements

Requires RN License and a BS in Nursing, minimum 5 – 7 years CM experience, 3+ years management experience desired. Membership in Sate and/or National Case Management organizations preferred.
